Hello! I began playing guitar at age 7 and have enjoyed a great career in the industry. Now a nationally recognized guitarist and an award-winning musician I created RBMS to help fulfil my dream of bringing music to students of all ages. Working with a team of tutors, we have created a music school which aims to foster the same passion I have for guitar in as many students as possible. RBMS uses the latest technology and techniques to inspire and effectively coach young musicians and adults.

I first started drumming in 2003 just messing around on my Dads drum kit. I quickly realised that it is something I connected with and could happily sit and play for hours! I started a classic rock covers band with Alex Butler in 2006 called Cold Heat. We gigged around Sussex and surrounding counties for about 5 years playing some large functions events such a race day at Brands Hatch and won and competed in multiple battle of the bands competitions. During this time I also was the drummer for St Bedes school big band. In 2012 I joined the rock/blues band Red Butler, over the next 6 years we have received various blues awards, performed at Hyde park for the olympic games, won the UK blues challenge and have gone on to represent the UK in the European blues challenge in Italy.

Hi, my name is Jim. I've been playing guitar for over 20 years and it's probably the thing I love most in the world (aside from my wife and cat). I have a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance and have also worked as a Teaching Assistant in Primary education. I love to create, learn and teach. I don't believe that there is a single correct way to learn, and I love finding the way that works the best for any given individual. My Favourite guitarists would probably be David Gilmour and Slash, so I play with quite a bluesy influence but I am versatile in a number of styles. I had the absolute best guitar teacher growing up, so I am always striving to match his patience, knowledge and enthusiasm with my own approach.

I have played the cello since I was 7 years old and am working on my grade 7. I also play guitar, drums, bass, ukulele and piano. Music has always been my escape and I want to enable you guys to experience the love and freedom that playing a musical instrument gives you. I grew up listening and loving classical music. As I have grown, i have found other genres such as indie rock, blues rock and many more that i thoroughly enjoy listening to and playing. I also love writing and recording my own songs and then editing them. In this day and age we are able to show you how to write and record your own material as well.
